Health, Safety & Environmental Policy

PT Prince Borneo Marine (PBMarine) is fully committed to operating our business with the objective of zero harm to our people, assets and the environment.

PBMarine beliefs that all injuries are preventable, the environment can be protected, and damage or loss to property or equipment can be prevented. To achieve this:

  1. Each member of the work force is responsible for meeting our HSE standards and will be held accountable for their individual performance and the performance of those working under their supervision.

  2. We shall treat the HSE aspects of any work activity with equal value to commercial, production, and quality aspects.

  3. We shall comply with applicable laws and regulations pertaining to the country of operation.

  4. We shall support the identification of hazards and assessment of risks in work activities.

  5. We shall encourage the reporting of unsafe acts and conditions and the actions to improve performance.

  6. We shall provide adequate resource and training to ensure works is carried out safely and professionally.

  7. We shall investigate all events where injuries, damage to property or the environment has accured and ensure that corrective actions are undertaken and are communicated in a timely manner.

  8. We shall investigate all near miss incidents where there was high potential to cause injury or damage and ensure that corrective actions are made and communicated.

  9. We shall operate a ‘just’ system of dealing with safety infringements.

All people working within PT. Prince Borneo Marine, have an obligation to comply fully with this policy, and in so doing, we believe we will create a working environment where we continually improve HSE performance and where harm is reduced to an As Low Reasonably Practicable Level.

PBMarine management provides strong, visible leadership and commitment to safety, security, health, environment and quality.

Such commitment translated into the necessary resources to develop, operate and maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS) and to attain the Policy and Strategic Objectives.

The Company’s Management is responsible for monitoring and reviewing the Quality Policy at regular intervals in order to ensure that it remains relevant and effective at all times.
